The groundwork was laid for RC Pets in 1987 in Whistler, British Columbia, when a young entrepreneur Rory Carr began making products for skiers and snowboarders who play in Canada's rugged mountains.
How RC Pets came into existence nine years later is a funny story. After mistakenly ordering 10,000 instead of 100 yards of nylon webbing for ski straps, Rory didn't want the product to go to waste. He realized this same tough, dependable webbing could be perfect for dog leashes and collars, and he was right.
It was a steep learning curve and breaking into the pet market was anything but a walk in the park, but in 1995 Rory was in the pet business. From trade shows to store visits, the RC Pets team found their fan base with pet guardians who appreciated the same quality of product as they were used to for themselves.

Unworn apparel with tags attached & with all original packaging can be returned within 7 days of delivery. Items with stains, hair and/or odors are not returnable. Original shipping charges and return shipping cost is not refundable.

My dog Babs hates the rain. The last rain coat I had for her didn't fit right and would always fall off. This allowed her to feel comfortable enough to go outside and it stayed on! She's still not sold on the rain…

I initially bought this little packable poncho for our hiking trip, but am excited to have it for rainy weather at home too! It's lightweight and easy to fold back up for storage while on the go! Klaus doesn't mind wearing it, he hasn't tried to remove it at all. Plus he looks SO cute in it!! As do all the other doggies on this site! So happy I found this website! For reference I ordered an XL, it fit perfectly. Klaus is 24" long, 29" girth, 19" neck.

This poncho was very easy to put on, even though my dog was trembling because she's terrified of rain. Once we got outside and she realized she wasn't getting soaked, she was able to concentrate on getting things done instead of just trying to drag me back into the house. Success!

My dog HATES getting wet. Like.. it's ridiculous. It has been an adventure trying to get her just to go outside to do her business during this rainy year. The cover she DID have didn't cover enough of her... so I bought this poncho! I love it. It's long enough for her, it has a hood (which she may or may not tolerate) and she looks totally adorable in it. I'm so grateful for this product! And, as always, great guidance in sizing and prompted, excellent shipping!
