This sweater should have a close fit without being tight. If it's difficult to get both front legs into it, it's most likely too small. If it's too small, it may put too much stress on the seam bindings. 

Measurements for each size are listed on the size chart (above size & color options).  If your pup's length is significantly shorter than the length listed, please size down, since length is not adjustable.
