This Therapeutic Licking Mat from Messy Mutts is so awesome for providing mental stimulation and slowing down food gobblers! We use these for any activity-restricted dog recovering from surgery/injury or just plain old boredom busting on rainy days. Take one with you on car rides for nervous dogs, fill for a calming effect during patio hangouts.

The act of licking is soothing for dogs and lowers their stress level, which is great for recovering from surgery or injury. Use as a slow-feed option for dogs (or cats) who eat too quickly. So easy to fill with peanut butter, yogurt, raw, canned or reconstituted freeze-dried food. Add  bits of food and freeze to make it more challenging!

Durability rating

Work-to-Eat toys are an excellent way to exercise a dog’s mind while they work to remove food from the toy’s cavity. All WTE toys we carry will stand up to endless licking and a lot of nibbling but are not meant for prolonged super-chewing sessions. These types of fillable toys perform even better when filled and then frozen. Dogs should be monitored while working on these toys and when empty, the toy should be removed and put out of reach.

Returns & Warranty Info

Unused items with all original packaging can be returned within 7 days of delivery.
