Meet the Brand America's Dog Apparel

This is our in-house brand of dog apparel designed for hard-to-fit dogs in 2014 by the founder of Fit for a Pit!  All tees & hoodies are made from 100% USA cotton, which is spun into yarn at a spinning mill in SC. This yarn is then woven into jersey and french terry fabrics especially for us by a weaver in NC, then cut and sewn into garments at a sewing facility in NC. Our hoodies are garment-dyed (dyed after sewing) in North Carolina and slogan tees are printed in Missouri.

No hangers, cardboard, tags or plastic packaging means less waste. Our patterns are cut in a way that creates less fabric waste. Making small batches of apparel in this manner, and all within a short drive of our HQ near Asheville, helps us keep our carbon footprint small and allows us to have personal relationships with our contractors.

We believe making comfy clothes for stocky dogs can be done without sending labor overseas and we're doing our part to help create & keep Carolina textile workers employed and paid a fair wage for their craft!
